SMJGA Point System
A total of 50 points are awarded at each tournament within each age division. Points are awarded as follows:

1st Place10 Points
2nd Place9 Points
3rd Place8 Points
4th Place7 Points
5th Place6 Points
6th Place5 Points
7th Place4 Points
Participation1 Point
Pointsare halved for ties. For example, if three players tie for 1st Place, then points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be added up and divided by 3 to equal 9 points each per player. Ties for 7th place each get four (4) points.
Thispoint system works in conjunction with, yet separately from, each sanctioned tournament. In other words, if a SMJGA member takes second to a non-member in his or her age bracket, then the member will receive points for a first place finish within the association rankings. Points will be awarded to members only.
Pointswill NOT be backdated. A new member can only begin to accumulate points at that point which his/her membership fee has been paid.
NOTE:To be eligible for the Year End Tournament, a member must compete in a minimum of FIVE SMJGA Sanctioned Events.
