A total of 50 points are awarded at each tournament within each age division. Points are awarded as follows:

| 5th Place | 6 Points |
| 6th Place | 5 Points |
| 7th Place | 4 Points |
| Participation | 1 Point |
Points are halved for ties. For example, if three players tie for 1st Place, then points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be added up and divided by 3 to equal 9 points each per player. Ties for 7th place each get four (4) points.
Thispoint system works in conjunction with, yet separately from, each sanctioned tournament. In other words, if a SMJGA member takes second to a non-member in his or her age bracket, then the member will receive points for a first place finish within the association rankings. Points will be awarded to members only.
Pointswill NOT be backdated. A new member can only begin to accumulate points at that point which his/her membership fee has been paid.
NOTE:To be eligible for the Year End Tournament, a member must compete in a minimum of FIVE SMJGA Sanctioned Events. |
